Ryan McGinness (b. 1972, Virginia Beach, VA) received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and is currently based in New York City. Most recently, McGinness’s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Quint Gallery, San Diego, CA; Miles McEnery Gallery, New York; Harper’s, East Hampton; Nanzuka, Hong Kong; Cranbrook Art Museum, Bloomfield Hills, MI; and Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Virginia Beach, VA. His work is included in numerous major international public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego; and Taguchi Collection, Tokyo.
