Brian Calvin (b. 1969, Visalia, CA) received a BA from UC Berkeley in 1992, and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1994. Most recently, his work has been the subject of presentations at Almine Rech, Brussels, New York, and Paris (2022, 2021, 2019, 2017, and 2016); Anton Kern, New York (2020, 2017, and 2016); Corbett Vs Dempsey, Chicago (2018 and 2016) and Gallery Met, Metropolitan Opera, New York (2018). Calvin’s work is held in numerous public collections including Aishti Foundation, Beirut; DePaul Art Museum, Chicago; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; and Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City. Calvin currently lives and works in Ojai, CA.
