Elizabeth Huey (b. 1971, Virginia Beach, VA) received a BA from George Washington University in 1993, and an MFA from Yale University in 2002; she currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Most recently, her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at The Pit, Glendale, CA (2020); Harper’s, New York and East Hampton (2019, 2017 and 2013); Eastern Star Gallery, Los Angeles (2017); Heiner Contemporary, Washington, DC (2013 and 2011); and Museum of Contemporary Art, Virginia Beach, VA (2010). Huey has participated in notable group presentations at Freight + Volume, New York (2019,2018, 2017, 2012 and 2006); Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City (2017, 2014, 2009 and 2007); and MASS MOCA, North Adams, MA (2006). Reviews of her work have appeared in Artforum, New York Times, and Art in America, among numerous other publications.
