Hyegyeong Choi (b. 1986, Seoul, South Korea) received BFA from Chung Ang University, Seoul, and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. Choi’s work has been the subject of solo presentations at Harper’s, New York and Los Angeles (2024 and 2022); Carl Kostyál, London (2023); Shelter Gallery, New York (2021); Slow Gallery, Chicago (2020); and Stolbun Collection, New York and Chicago (2018 and 2015). Most recently, she has participated in group exhibitions at Harper’s, New York, Los Angeles, and East Hampton (2024, 2023 and 2021); Pond Society, Shanghai (2023); Micki Meng/Parker Gallery, New York (2023); National Arts Club, New York (2023); Deitch Gallery, Los Angeles (2022); Carl Kostyál, Milan (2022); Christie’s, New York (2022); Another Gallery, Paris (2022); CHART, New York (2021); and Anton Kern, New York (2021). Reviews of her work have appeared in Artforum, New York Times, and Hyperallergic, among other publications. Choi lives and works in Brooklyn.
